  2. Hey Jorry,
i appreciate your comment. I agree he isn't a dog and that the men should treat Lennie like a human being even if he isn't as smart as the other men. They shouldn't just assume that all that happened was all Lennie's fault and that Curley's wife had nothing to provoke Lennie to act as he did. The book was interesting at points but a little short. They could have added more detail into what was going on in the book. It was very mysterious and made you think but also an easy read.

What did you think of the book?

  3. Hello Dale,
Thank you for your comment and I completely agree with you. What did you think of the book? Would you recommend it to somebody else? I think this book is defiantly something everybody should read. Our generation doesn’t really know how life was back in the 1930’s during the great depression and this book gives us a bit of background information. Even though the ending is really sad, it shows that we do not have happy ending all the time. The lesson we learn from this book is that dreams not always come true. I would love to hear your opinion of the book.

  4. Thank you for your agree me Danielle Tesan. We have very much same view. The book was interesting. It tells much about people working for the objectives, but the time change and many things change wouldn’t let the objectives happen.
    What do you think?

  6. Tanner,
Yes Respect plays a big part in the Novel "Of Mice and Men" to prove it, showing no respect is how Carlson shot Candy's dog. A good way to show respect is when George shot Lennie.

    Did you like this book?
I personally liked this book, but I also didn't like this book. I loved the setting and how the Characters acted and i didn't like how there was so much issues and drama between the people involved with bucking barley. I haven't watched the movie yet, but I'm sure I will enjoy it.

    Thanks again,
    Crystal

  7. Hey Shaniece thank you for the comment. I agree with you George did do what was best for Lennie by shooting him. It would of have be wrong letting Curley kill him. I thought this book was good and it was a easy read. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick easy read. What did you think of the book ? and would you recommend it to anyone? - rajan

  8. Thanks Kyle, there really is no way for Lennie to hide so George ending the situation quickly made it much better for Lennie because he would have then died thinking that everyone including George hated him, even a normal person would not want to be captured which brings that saying "i would rather die on my feet than live on my knees". I would recommend this book to everyone because it shows how far we came in behaviour and tolerance toward people of different races, and abilities, also it exposes the good and the bad in people.

  10. Courtnea, thanks for your comment. I agree with you. I thought the book was really boring until the last couple of chapters. The only nice thing about the book was that it was short. What did you think?

  11. Hey Jude,
Thanks Jude i appreciate your comment. Thank you for agreeing with my statement. I did not pay full attention while reading this book so i did not get a very good understanding of what was happening throughout this novel. I was wondering if you liked this book or not? and if it is recommended?

  12. Triscia,
Thanks for your comment. I agree with you that if our society today is the same before we will have an alternative in Lennie's case. I really like the book, Steinbeck gives a powerful foreshadowing, so the reader will read the next chapter of the novel. Do you like the novel? I personally recommend this book to everyone it a really good book to read. Even though the ending is so sad.

  13. hello
Clint thanks for your comments. I agree with you now.maybe you are right.
Lennie is a trouble in the world. He never done anything right.Just made lots of trouble to others. But he just a really simple guy.He doesn't know what is wrong.Maybe he should be shot.I think no one can bear other's fault all the times.

  14. Thanks Jaylyssa, I agree with you; it is sad that Lennie was not clever like George. He was naïve like a kid, loyal like a dog. If Lennie was a little smarter, he would be a very good gay. It is very sad he was shot by George. George will be guilt for doing that, but he had no choice. He can’t save Lennie this time... The last one thing he can help Lennie is protecting him from more harm. I think that “Of Mice and Man” is a successful tragedy. How do you think this novel? Please tell me your opinions.
