ReplyDeleteWhere I’m from
I am from the Milky Way galaxy
About 100,000 light years across
Contains billions of shiny lights
An unknown area for one so small
I am from Earth home to about 7.8 billion people
Filled with the beauty and destruction of life
Visiting planets come join us if you can
I am from Canada the hockey nation
Best known for saying “eh?”
And we don’t live in igloos
I am from British Columbia we have trees
Tall and small we got them all
I am from Ladner small and homey
Originally built to be a fishing village
Yep we got fish too and a slough!

Ten Years Old
ReplyDeleteBy Kimberly Tudge
past:
The room was quiet
Nothing but the mic
I was next to perform
Facing my fears
Ten years old
All alone
No music no partner
Just me and the mic
And the support of Miss Parmar
The whole school watching
Ready for my part of the show
Took a big breath in
Acapella I sang
Ten years old

ReplyDeleteMy Wonderful Life
My wife and kids with a house on the lake
Tons of money I will make
A finishing carpenter or site supervisor
People will see me and admire
Dodge challenger will be my wheels
I want to be a good provider and make all the meals
My hobby will involve my green thumb
More money I will make in a lump sum

ReplyDeleteI AM
I am from the small town of Ladner and the lemonade stands
From the all-white house to the beige bedrooms
I am from the late night street hockey to the early morning hot chocolate
From the hot dinners mom brings out to the oatmeal in the morning
I am from the hockey rink to the sold out crowd
From working hard to accomplishing my dreams
I am from riding a bike to driving a car
From being taken care of to taking care of
I am from Candy-Land to Monopoly
From Discman to Ipads
I am from learning about faults to learning about my faults
I am from playing tag in the park to going out to parties
From poor to wealthy
I am from stubborn to easy going

I Am
ReplyDeleteI am a brother and friend
I wonder what life holds in store for me
I hear the sound of rain hitting the water
I see myself camping in Squamish
I want a steak dinner and The Keg
I am a brother and friend
I pretend to pretend about things
I feel happy about my accomplishments
I touch the sky
I worry that I may of made a big mistake
I cry when grandpa died
I am a brother and friend
I understand that I still have much to learn
I say what I believe is right
I dream about getting to the level of achievement I want
I try to work as hard as I can
I hope to be successful
I am a brother and friend

In the nosy big airport
ReplyDeletePeople were busy and walk around there.
My brother does not want to let me leave.
The tear filled with his little eyes.
I was sixteen.
I was flight in the dark sky.
I watch out the window
Under the cloud, the sea seems cold.
Sun hide behind.
I was sixteen.
I was start feeling lonely and I cannot stop crying
My hands was sharking
I have tight-lipped. Thinking too much to make myself worry
The strong feeling make me upset.
I was sixteen.
What is going to happen next?
The sky blue warmed my heart.
The birds are singing on the tree.
The rabbits are jumping on the green grass.
I have to face the new life
I need to be strong enough to face the new challenge
I was sixteen.

ReplyDeletePursuit of a Railfan's Dream
A low rumble courses through
the Fraser Canyon railway route
Canadian Pacific double-stack
rolling along the mountain tracks.
Young boy watches from an overpass
Camera snaps as whistle blasts
Engineer waving as train rolls by
“I’ll be like you some day,” kid sighs.
Years later, now a graduate of BCIT
The same kid climbs up and smiles with glee
Sitting at the throttle of a CP train
Heading up to the mountains once again.
He laughs as he passes the same spot on the line
Another boy standing with a camera, mesmerized
He leans out the window and waves, blowing the horn
the railfan dream cycle continues, reborn.

Fourteen
ReplyDeleteOn a great white winter night
I got kicked out from the house
by my own mother to a different country
from Japan to New Zealand, I was fourteen
First time in my life out of my home country
everybody around me are speaking English
which I couldn't speak or understand at all
I missed too many English class in Japan, I was fourteen
As the time went on
I started understanding English more
getting more mature
since my parents are not here to help me, I was fourteen

ReplyDeleteTo be a succeed dentist.
TO make it come true.
Life is a pair of beauty wings.
That fill with hope.
Hold yourself together
To make your dream come true
Life is a cross
Full of big challenge but make you succeed.
I am a nutty guy who likes dolphins
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they are so like humans
I hear silence pulsing in the middle of the night
I see a dolphin flying up to the sky
I want an adventure of a life time
I am a nutty guy who likes dolphins
I pretend that I’m the ruler of the world
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders
I touch the sky, the stars and the moon
I worry about the devastation of a nuclear holocaust
I am a nutty guy who likes dolphins
I understand the frustration of not being able to do something easy
I say that we are all equal
I dream of traveling to other points on the earth
I try to reach out to poor and starving people
I hope that mankind will be at peace
I am a nutty guy who likes dolphins

I am determined and shy
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I’ll ever accomplish my goals
I hear the owls hooting
I see good things ahead
I want to help the unwealthy
I am determined and shy
I pretend that the world is a perfect place to live in
I feel like the world is looking down to the less fortunate
I touch the sky the stars and the moon
I worry too much about the little things
I cry when I’m watching sad movies

I understand that anything is possible
I say I’ll do things yet never follow through

Dreams at Age Sixteen
ReplyDeleteSouth of the green overpass
I found my second home
A wooden lacrosse box
And from that day I never wanted to leave I was sixteen.
I admired all the greats before
Seeing there jersey hanging in the rafters
I knew from that day I had a dream
I was sixteen with an idea in my head
If I could predict the future I would be hanging next to the greats
Living the life and living the dream
No one could stop me but me
I was sixteen with a big dream

ReplyDeleteDream was like sun in the early spring
The frozen earth hoped it
To bring every nature creatures warm and light
Then the sun rose.
Dream was like rain in the middle summer
The drought impatient plants and animals thirst for it
To bring them moisture and low temperature
Then the rain fell.

ReplyDeleteEast of Ladner on 66th street
I lived in a trailer just off of
The street where you can
Live young and live free
I was fifteen…
I admire all the flowers
The shiny metal barn, and
The flicker of light reflecting
Off the barn, I was fifteen…
Every day was a new day
Never once is their nothing to do
Always away out of boredom
No regrets at the end of the day
I was fifteen……..

Everything surrounding me explains itself
Your outlook on life is small
A school in a small quit town with nothing but fresh crisp blue sky. I was twelve
School becomes a usual routine
Days go by slowly in warm curious classroom
Some tired eyes fill the blue and endless hallways
Everyone waiting for the sound of freedom the school bell for recess. I was twelve
The feeling of strength and independence once you reach grade 7
The king of the rusted metal playground
Cold days bring frost to the sawdust floor
Feeling the crackle with every step I take waiting for the last bell to ring. I was twelve

During the festive day of Halloween,
My school's gym would get packed
With people dressed up in anybody they dreamed of.
I didn't dress up, didn't really care.
Something I didn't really bear.
I was only twelve.
On those regular school days,
Homework and tests would come at me
Like a great nation struck by a tsunami.
Kuckily enough, I managed to overcome these obstacles.
I was only twelve.
During the winter months,
I would go on frequent ski trips
Gliding on the white, silk-smooth snow.
All the ski maneuvers I need to know,
I was only twelve.
All these experiences I witnessed, I was only twelve.

I am living my life
But world keeps spinning like a wind mild
Whatever happens keep colding like a wind chill
I try to stand as a stone
Life keeps goes on and on.
From Korea and China fianlly Canada
But i still don't know where to go
I got no place to go
Life keeps going on and on.
When i look at sky
I am in dreaming however,
when i look at the ground
I am back to reality.
When i wake up every morining 100percent is real
Even though, bad things happen to me
I will work for a right man
My right hand and my head keep moving for them.

Try to be a boy without childishness
This year, I was sixteen
Began to learn about life
Mixing me with my own life together
Whatever it is sweet or pain
Thinking about to be or not to be
Something must be chosen by myself
Even if I make an error
This year,I was sixteen
I can know which is better for me
I will never hate the loneliness
Trying to love her
In order to rise from the ashes
Just like Phoenix Nirvana
To get an immortal soul
To be the first rays of the morning
I will pierced the darkness
This year,I was sixteen
Becoming an angry lion
My indignation let the world tremble
There is nothing more I can think of to say to you
Please look forward to the epic
